Who invented the Drumstick®?

At the 1904 World's Fair, an ice cream maker ran out of bowls. He asked a nearby waffle vendor to roll waffles into cones, turning them into a finger food.

In 1928 the Parker brothers took this great invention even further by adding chocolate coating topped with nuts. One of the brothers' wives said it looked like a fried chicken leg, thus the "Drumstick" was born!" Today Nestle® Drumstick® is America's #1 sundae cone.

Is Drumstick® kosher?

Most Drumstick® snacks are kosher. The Drumstick® products that are Kosher Certified are noted on the carton, box or container with the OU-D certification.

Are Drumstick® cones pasteurized?

All Drumstick® raw dairy products (skim milk, whole milk and cream) are pasteurized in our facilities using the high temperature short time method.

Does Drumstick® have gluten free products?

Drumstick® does not currently produce a gluten free product.

Does Drumstick® contain eggs?

Drumstick® snacks do not contain eggs.

Drumstick® snacks have a shelf life of 9 months from date of purchase.

Does Drumstick® have peanut free facilities?

At Drumstick®, we always label the eight major food allergens, including peanuts, on our package by their common name. If an allergen does not appear in the ingredient statement, then it has not been added to the product. If the product does not contain one of the known eight allergens, but is produced in a facility or on equipment that has potential for cross contact, we add at the end of the ingredient listing that it "May Contain" the allergen.
