“Last year, Kendall took an eight-week beekeeping course with me, and today he is beekeeper for over 20,000 bees. He saved his allowance and purchased one hive and all the equipment. Already, people in our community are benefiting from his bees—they increase pollination of their gardens. The honey he extracts from the hive is bottled into 4-ounce jars and given to our neighborhood senior center. His next project will be using the beeswax to make candles for our church’s candlelight service.”
